People traveling in buses are confused over the fares charged by some bus companies and claim they are being overcharged.
Bus fares increased from yesterday and some commuters say after governments decision to merge the stages they are paying more than the 13% average increase.
Transport Ministry Spokesperson Sainiana Waqainabete explains that due to the merging of some stages, bus fares are expected to increase by 20 cents.
She said they are closely monitoring the buses so that passengers are not cheated.
