Many bus companies have opted to extend their operating hours for New Year's Eve tomorrow as there will be a number of events happening, the biggest of which is the Fiji Street Party at Albert Park.
Fijivillage News called Dee Cees, Shore Buses and Raiwaqa Buses who say they will be extending their hours to 1am or even further while Central Transport Company and Island Buses have confirmed they will operate early New Year's Day after 12am, only if there is a need. Shore Buses has confirmed that their services will continue until 3am.
Tebara Transport Limited Director Satend Maharaj said they will be extending their hours, subject to LTA approval.
The exact times of the extension hours is expected from the individual bus companies tomorrow.
Bus Operators Association President Zain Dean said the extension of operating hours for New Year's Eve is up to the operators themselves adding it is also up to them whether or not they want to extend their running time to cater for those who make use of the extended nightclub hours.
