Police are investigating an accident at Koronivia at 11.30 this morning where a bus carrying 30 passengers and a taxi had a head on collision.
Director Traffic SSP Mahesh Mishra confirmed 12 passengers are being sent to Nausori Health Centre to be examined with minor injuries.
SSP Mishra said the bus has been taken to LTA for inspection while police are carrying out their investigation.
Tebara Transport Limited said in a statement that the bus driver was speeding and lost control causing the bus to veer off the road hitting an electrical pole.
Tebara Transport Limited management said the driver is currently being questioned at the Nausori Police Station and will be charged for dangerous driving.
