Sigatoka Police are investigating a case where a bus veered off the road and landed in a drain in front of the Tambua Sands Resort in Sigatoka this morning.
An eyewitness had confirmed the bus was heading towards Sigatoka town from Navua when the driver lost control and the bus veered into the opposite lane before landing in a drain.
It is believed the buses steering got locked causing the driver to lose control. There were more than 15 passengers in the bus, however no one got injured.
Land Transport Authority Chief Executive Etuate Koroi has also confirmed the incident saying that he has directed a team from Sigatoka to carry out an investigation and hand him the report as soon as possible.
