As the Sigatoka bus accident investigations continue, Police have this morning confirmed that the owners of the bus can be charged if they manage to establish that the defective bus was on the road.
Director Traffic SSP Ramend Raj said defective vehicles are not allowed on the public road as it poses a danger to people. He said the driver can also be charged if he was driving a defective vehicle.
He said anyone found breaching the LTA Act will be prosecuted.
