Fiji Bus Operators Association's President Pyara Singh said they welcome the decrease in the fuel price.
He also added they will be considering a reduction in bus fares.
The Fiji Taxi Union has also decided that they will not dispute the taxi fare reduction.
General Secretary Rishi Ram added that after a meeting with his lawyers, he has been advised that it would be fruitless to pursue the course of taking legal action against the directive issued by the interim government and LTA to reduce the flag fall rate of taxi fare from $1.50 to $1 from 6am to 10pm and $2 to $1.50 from 10pm to 6am.
However, they are now asking the Interim Minister for Transport to reconsider the date for all taxi metres to be fixed to the new taxi fare flag fall.
General Secretary Rishi Ram said the two taxi metre converters will not be able to cater for their members throughout the country.
Ram said they have put in a submission to set another date.
