The Fiji Bus Operators Association is happy with the decision taken by the Interim government to introduce a cap on gross profit margins of 7% from 10% on kerosene and outboard premix fuel and to re-introduce duty concessions for the importation of vehicles that use LPG.
Association President Pyara Singh said it is the right decision at a right time.
He said they have informed all the bus operators in their meeting this week that the Memorandum of Understanding they have with FIRCA and LTA on the fuel grant of 21.9% will be given to the Industry based on Bus Companies income.
