Investigators are expected to dismantle the Raiwaqa bus which caught fire in Malaqereqere, Sigatoka, on Thursday night claiming ten lives, to determine the cause of the blaze.
National Fire Authority's chief fire officer Mark Reid said their formal investigations get underway on Monday as due to the position of the bus at the accident scene, they were not able to access the engine.
He said they must determine why the fire spread so quickly, trapping the ten deceased inside.
Reid said following their finds, recommendations on fire safety measures on buses will be forwarded to the Transport Ministry.
