A burst main in Namaka earlier today has caused water disruptions in different parts of Nadi.
Spokesperson for Water Authority of Fiji, Maika Nagalu said residents of Namaka, Waqadra, Matintar, Bountiful Estate, Gateway hotel, Naisoso, Waimalika and part of Sabeto are facing water disruptions from 3pm. Water engineers are currently repairing the burst main as there is no timeframe by when water supply will normalise.
Meanwhile, all three water pumps at Savura Pumping station are still down as power supply is still out.
Nagalu said FEA technicians are working on cables which has caused power disruptions from last night.
He said seven water trucks are carting water in affected areas like Tamavua, Namadi Heights, Ragg Avenue, all areas along Princess road, Mead road, Bay View Heights, Nabua road, Samabula North areas, Nauluvatu, Wailoku, Delainavesi, Lami, Veisari, upto Togalevu.
Still no timeframe by when water supply will normalise.
