People living along Nasalasala, Nakama, Vunicoicoi, Naduna and Waidamudamu have been urged to store water now if they still have water in their taps.
Water Authority Spokesperson Maika Nagalu said a part of the water main has burst at their system in Nasalasala, Labasa last night causing the disruptions.
He said that their engineers are working on the problem and water supply is expected to normalize by this evening.
People have also been urged to use water wisely.
