Burotu expects tough competition
Former New Zealand 7s rep Nigel Hunt is here in the country not only to help his side win the first ever Digicel Suva International 7's but also to win a spot in the New Zealand team for the next leg of the IRB 7's series.
Hunt said it was unfortunate for him to be injured during the NPC tournament which saw him ruled out for a few months.
He adds being given a chance to travel to Fiji with the Manawatu 7's team will be a good time for him to try and win back a place in the Gordon Tietjens coached side.
The Digicel Suva International 7s tournament kicksoff at 4:40pm with the opening match between PNG and Wardens. Than at 5:02pm Western Force take on Police. At 5:24pm Canada plays Veiyasana Fijians followed by Tonga against Waimanu.
Then at 6:23pm Manawatu takes on Suva. At 6:45pm USA plays Army, at 7:07pm Samoa take on Ratu Filise while the last match of the day today will be between Fiji Barbarians and Northern Sharks. You can catch the live commentary of all the games today on our sister station Viti-FM.
