Digicel Fiji 7s team are through to the semifinal of the Dubai 7s where they will meet Samoa after beating South Africa 21-19 in the second quarter final this evening.

Jerry Burotu again showed why he is rated as the number one prop forward in the country scoring the winning try in the last minute of play.

Burotu opened the scoring with a try under the post for Fiji to lead 7-nil but South Africa came back strongly to lead 14-7 at half-time.

South Africa increase their tally to 19 points in the start of the second half before Nasoni Roko ran away from his 22 meter line to score under the post and narrow the deficit to 19-14.

It was Burotu defence in the last minute of play which allowed for a scrum just 5 meters away from the South African line and again he went over to score the winning try for Fiji to beat South Africa 21-19.

Fiji will play Samoa in the semifinal at 3.30am.

Samoa beat USA 38-5 in the first quarter final.
