Two men who pleaded guilty to 5 counts of robbery were handed partial suspended sentences by the Suva High Court this morning.

The court heard that between the 3rd and 4th of September this year, Timoci Tukana and Apisalome Nakulinivalu robbed 3 victims using the same method.

They snatched the bags of the victims and ran away.

High Court Judge Justice Daniel Goundar sentenced Tukana to 2 years imprisonment for three counts of robbery, 12 months to be served in prison while the remaining term was suspended for two years.

Nakulinivalu was sentenced to two years imprisonment, 9 months to be served in prison while the remaining term was suspended for two years.
