A 29yr old self employed man charged with two counts of burglary, larceny from a dwelling house and escaping from lawful custody appeared in the Magistrates Court today.
It is alleged that on June 11th this year, 29yr old Pranesh Chandra broke into the house of Johnny Singh twice, and at these times Singh was at his mother's place.
Chandra was caught red handed the second time. He resisted arrest however he stumbled and injured himself and was caught by police who then took him to the hospital and to Central Police Station.
In mitigation he told the court he is married with a six month old child is the sole bread winner and earns $15 dollars day. He told the court that he was drunk at the time of the incident.
The matter has been adjourned to 3rd November for sentencing.
