Interim Public Service Minister Poseci Bune believes that the US government will not consider Fiji's Ambassador to Washington until the elections in 2009.

This after the US government rejected the interim government's nomination of Ratu Finau Mara to take up the post.

Bune has also denied claims that he has resigned from his current portfolio to take up a diplomatic posting in Washington.

Bune said it is also unknown at this stage that he will be given the Foreign Affairs portfolio in the new reshuffled cabinet as it has been speculated that Ratu Epeli Nailatikau will become the Vice President.

He said the Interim Prime Minister, who is currently in the Middle East has spoken about the reshuffle, so either he would be recycled to another ministry or have to leave cabinet all together.
