The Sharks became the only South African team to win in Round 8 of Super Rugby when they beat the Lions 27-3 in Durban this morning.

Sharks player Charl McLeod scored a try after the siren which earned them a bonus point for scoring four tries in the match.

In other matches that were played last night, Waratahs beat Western Force 31-3, Stormers lost to Reds 6-19, Crusaders beat Bulls 27 to nil while Hurricanes lost to Brumbies 16-17.

Meanwhile, Crusaders stand in Captain Kieran Read has praised his team's defence after they kept the Bulls pointless in a Super Rugby match.

The Crusaders lost their opening match to the Blues and then had their second match against the Hurricanes cancelled due to the Christchurch earthquakes.

The Bulls who had won their last three matches against the Crusaders have now played the Crusaders eight times in New Zealand and lost all eight.
