Suva Grammar School teacher Makelesi Bulikiobo has been given the honours to light the cauldron for the 2007 FMF Chow Games which starts on Friday.

Bulikiobo who won four gold medals at the recent Pacific Games in Samoa will make a lap around the Post Fiji Stadium track before setting the flames alight.

Meanwhile, Flour Mills of Fiji has this year injected a total sum of $200,000 for the next three years, as sponsorship in the annual FMF Chow Games.

In a statement this afternoon, Flour Mills of Fiji Chairman Hari Punja said that they do not regard this as a sponsorship but as a much needed contribution to the future of this country, which is the kids.

A total of 17 districts will participate in the two-day FMF Chow Games which kicks off at the Post Fiji Stadium on Friday.
