Fiji's sprint queen Makelesi Bulikiobo hopes to produce one of her best performances during the Olympic Games in Beijing this year.

Bulikiobo who is the only athlete from Fiji to qualify for the Olympics so far has never progressed further than the second round in her two Olympics but her aim this year is to reach the quarterfinals.

The Suva Grammar School teacher returned to top level competition in Brisbane after winning the 4 gold medals at the Pacific Games last year.

Bulikiobo won the 800 and 200 metres events in the Brisbane Meet last weekend. She also set a new Fiji Athletics record in the 800 metres with a time of 2 minutes 10.25 seconds.

This weekend she will compete in the Sydney Grand Prix.
