Fiji's Sprint Queen Makelesi Bulikiobo was last night named FASANOC Female Athlete of the Year.
Bulikiobo had a great season last year winning 4 gold medals at the Pacific Games and also getting a ticket to compete at the Beijing Olympics in August this year.
Fiji Powerlifting Association's Iliesa Irava took out the Male Athlete of the Year award beating Niko Verekauta.
Adi Cakobau School student Akesa Drotini who surprised everyone by winning the Gold medal at the Pacific Games in Samoa won the FASANOC Sports Personality of the Year award.
Drotini defeated Fiji 15's coach Ilivasi Tabua, Mosese Rauluni, Senimili Turner and Fiji soccer striker Roy Krishna for the award.
