Fiji's sprint queen Makelesi Bulikiobo will only take part in the 400 metres event at the Olympics which starts on Friday in Beijing.

Bulikiobo was also trying to qualify for the 200 metres events but she failed after clocking 23.79 seconds in the 200 metres event in her final race at the Gold Coast over the weekend.

She will remain in South_East Queensland this week for her final preparations before heading off to Beijing.

Top Javelin Thrower Leslie Copeland won the Javelin contest at the Gold Coast with a throw of 62.59 metres but still failed to qualify for the Olympics.
