Fiji's sprint queen Makelesi Bulikiobo is expected to shine at this year's Beijing Olympics.

Bulikiobo who already qualified to represent Fiji at the Olympics, became the first Fijian athlete to win a title at the Australian Athletics Championship over the weekend.

She won the women's 200 metres event in a time of 23.76 seconds beating top athletes from Australia and New Zealand.

FASANOC vice-president Atma Maharaj said with this sort of performance, they will do their best to see Bulikiobo prepare well for the Olympics.

Maharaj said he does not want to predict at this stage whether Bulikiobo can go through to the quarterfinals in her events in Beijing.
