The 2009 Bula Festival is set to kick off with a float procession from the Nadi town to Prince Charles Park this hour.
People will be able to witness police and secondary school bands from Lautoka and Nadi.
Organizing Committee Treasurer Anil Kumar said the official opening will be done by the Defence Minister, Ratu Epeli Ganilau at 7.30 tonight.
According to Kumar, the money raised will be used to assist those needy children who were affected by the floods early this year.
