Cronulla Sharks second rower Jason Bukuya is unlikely to make the Fiji Bati team for the Rugby League World Cup as he is being investigated by the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority for allegedly taking performance enhancing drugs.

Bukuya is one of the top NRL players eyed by the Fiji Rugby League for the upcoming Rugby League World Cup and has been in negotiations with the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority to accept a six month suspension.

FNRL general manager Tomi Finau said they will release a statement later today in relation to the issue.

Meanwhile, the Rugby League World Cup will be held in October and Fiji is pooled with Ireland, Australia and England.
