It is not only fuel and food prices that are increasing but building material prices have also increased.

The Bureau of Statistics report shows that door and window frames including sliding doors and aluminum windows recorded the highest price increase of 19.5% in the second quarter of this year.

Also wood and related materials prices increased by 0.9%, cement, sand and concrete blocks saw an increase of 0.6%, a 5.9% increase was seen in iron and steel including roofing nails and galvanized louver frames, paint and glass prices went up by 0.2% and higher prices were recorded for mosaic floor tiles and wall tiles by 1.3%.

Lower prices were only recorded for electrical products by 3.3%.
