Building Contractor Robbed
Police spokesperson Atunaisa Sokomuri confirmed the four, masked and armed, stormed into the residence and managed to flee with
$4 000 worth of assorted machinery and tools.
The four fled in the owners white Toyota Mark Two car registration DN 290.
After the incident, the youths then went to Lautoka city and tried to rob a business director, but were unsuccessful as police response was fast.
The youths chased the 2 police officers with pinch bars and cane knives and in the process one of the officers sustained some injuries.
The four are still at large and police are seeking help from the members of the public in locating them.
Meanwhile, police have questioned and released a youth from Nausori who was allegedly found in possession with 21 small packets of dried leaves believed to be marijuana.
The leaves have been sent to the Koronivia Research Station for examination.
