The Bua man charged with murder for allegedly killing his 14 month old daughter after claiming she was possessed by evil spirits was today further remanded in custody by The Suva Magistrates Court.
Ratu Beni Salabogi who was sent to Saint Giles Hospital for psychiatric evaluation was further remanded in custody by Magistrate Eparama Rokoika after he was informed that the doctor needed more time to assess the accused.
The case has been adjourned to 1st October.
The 32 year old who has been in custody since August 9th.
The mother a 29 year old school teacher was breastfeeding the baby when the baby's father allegedly assaulted the baby saying that she was possessed by an evil spirit.
He allegedly assaulted the baby till her last breath.
