The 48 year old driver whose bus went off a bridge and landed in a river in Bua on Saturday afternoon appeared in the Labasa Magistrate Court today.
Subhash Chand has been released on $800 cash bail and will re-appear in Court on the 6th of next month, when a plea is also expected to be taken.
Chand is charged with one count of dangerous driving occasioning death.
Meanwhile, the post mortem conducted on 72 year old Shiu Mangal who died in the accident revealed that he died due to internal bleeding.

Director Traffic, SSP Mahesh Mishra has confirmed that the driver will appear in the Labasa Magistrates court this afternoon.
However, SSP Mishra said he cannot reveal the charges yet as they will present everything in court as evidence this afternoon.
