One of the most familiar faces of local rugby tournaments Kinisimere Rabulugaga commonly known as “Bu Kini” was rewarded with a jersey by the Fiji Rugby Union for her endless support.

FRU Acting CEO Dr Berlin Kafoa said Bu Kini is a familiar face at every match and is always at the airport when teams return from overseas tours.

77-year-old Bu Kini who is from Waitolu in Naitasiri said her love for rugby started when she was schooling at Naduna District School in the highlands by former Flying Fijian lock Apakuki Tuitavaua.

Bu Kini recalls Fiji’s win over the British and Irish Lions in 1977 at Buckhurst Park as it was the first international match she watched and she will never forget it.

Bu Kini said her transportation to the grounds is not a worry because she sometimes gets on the team bus, gets a lift in the mini buses or with the family.

She added she may have no money but for the love of the game she will make sure she is at rugby every game.
