In other results last night the Sharks held on to beat the Reds 35-20 to retain their unbeaten status and remain on top of the standings, the Lions defeated the Blues 39-36 to secure their first victory over the Aucklanders since 2006, the Highlanders lost to the Force 31-29 while the Hurricanes thrashed the Cheetahs 60-27

In early results from Friday, the Chiefs beat the Stormers 36-20 while the Crusaders outmuscled the Rebels 25-19.
