Brumbies wing Henry Speight will find out today if he can play in Saturday’s Super Rugby semifinal against the Hurricanes after SANZAR requested more information before handing down a possible suspension.
A SANZAR judicial hearing yesterday found that Speight was guilty of a lifting tackle in last weekend's qualifying final against the Stormers.
However, the judicial officer requested further information.
The Brumbies will be desperately hoping the Wallabies flyer avoids a ban as they aim to keep their championship dream alive.
Brumbies coach Stephen Larkham says should Speight be suspended he will be replaced by either Robbie Coleman, James Dargaville and Nigel Ah Wong.
Meanwhile Waratahs inside center Kurtley Beale is in a race against time to prove his fitness for their semifinal clash with the Highlanders.
Beale and wing Rob Horne did not train with the side yesterday.
The Hurricanes will host the Brumbies at 7.35pm Saturday while the Waratahs will host the Highlanders at 9.40pm.
