The Brumbies are confident David Pocock will join their Super Rugby title quest, but are sweating on a final tick of approval to clear him to bolster the team to play the Highlanders on Friday night.
Doctors have given Pocock a preliminary clearance to make a comeback from his fractured eye socket but the final decision will hinge on a meeting between the superstar flanker and medical staff today.
The Brumbies will host the Highlanders at 8.05pm Friday, the Hurricanes meet the Sharks at 7.35pm Saturday, Lions will host the Crusaders at 2.30am Sunday while the Stormers face the Chiefs at 5am.
