British national swears at judge
Fijivillage was in court this afternoon and witnessed the incident.
David Bryant was called before the court this afternoon for his case, pending from last year, of common assault and damaging property.
Magistrate Elcy Hudson while hearing the case told the immigration officers along with an officer from the British High Commission that it would be unwise to deport the accused, as his 3 sons in the United States were not responding to any calls from the British High Commission with regards to accommodation once the accused is deported.
Bryant then stood up and asked the court why he had to be sent back to Saint Giles Hospital as he had already been checked three times.
He then swore at Magistrate Hudson since she was hearing the case without calling for his lawyers and in return Magistrate Hudson called him a "JERK" and said that she washes her hands of the case and will have nothing to do with the case and the accused.
Bryant has been remanded in custody until a Magistrate can be available to her his case.
It is understood that this is the second time a magistrate has refused to deal with Bryant's case.
