After a lapse of four years the price of bread has increased from today.
The Prices and Incomes Board has announced that due to an increase in Bakers flour, the price of bread increases from today as the last review of bread prices was undertaken in 2003.
The price of a long loaf increases from 60 cents to 67 cents, the price of a small slice of bread increases from 62 cents to 67 cents, a medium sliced bread will cost $1.02, compared to the previous price of 95 cents. The price of wholemeal loaf, slices and buns also increase by around 8 cents per product.
These prices are for towns and cities only and prices are expected to vary due to cartage and delivery costs.
