One of the leading nations in world soccer, Brazil is among the top 16 teams confirmed for the IRB Sevens Series in USA.

Rugby Sevens will make its Olympic debut at the 2016 Summer Games in Rio de Janeiro and, as host nation, Brazil holds a unique place in the history of the game.

New Zealand head the cast of teams who compete at every round of the series, alongside host nation USA, Fiji, South Africa, England, France, Australia, Wales, Samoa, Argentina, Scotland and Kenya.

In addition, neighbouring Canada will compete, with Asian giants Japan and South American nations Uruguay and Brazil.

New Zealand and Fiji lead the Series with 51 points after the first three rounds.

South Africa lie third with 48, with England fourth one point further adrift.

The NZ Sevens will be held in Wellington from the 3rd and 4th of February and in USA on the 10th and 11th.
