Brazil captain Thiago Silva will miss tomorrow’s FIFA World Cup semifinal against Germany after Brazil failed in their bid to have his yellow card overturned.
The 29-year-old defender was booked in their quarterfinal win against Colombia.
It was Silva's second yellow of the tournament, meaning he is automatically suspended for one match.
Brazil will play Germany at 8am tomorrow while Argentina will meet the Netherlands at 8am Thursday.
