Hurricanes Super Rugby winning coach Chris Boyd has signed a two year contract extension with the Wellington based franchise.
The former Wellington Lions coach has led the Hurricanes to two Super Rugby finals – in 2015 and 2016.
The Hurricanes missed the play-offs in 2014 which indicates how Boyd has transformed the side.
Meanwhile, the Hurricanes' victory parade through central Wellington has been postponed until tomorrow as the cold southerly blast continues.
Thousands of fans are expected to show up when the victorious squad begin their parade.
