An 8 year old student is admitted at the Lautoka Hospital after he was hit by a car yesterday afternoon.
Divisional Traffic Officer Western ASP Pita Ledua said the 8 year old boy, was crossing the road with some of his friends at Lovu flats in Lautoka when he was hit by a private car.
The driver tried to stop the car but he failed and bumped the boy who received serious injuries.
Meanwhile, a man is admitted in hospital after his left leg went under cane truck loaded with sugar cane.
According to ASP Ledua the man was sitting on the load of canes when he fell and his left leg came under the rear wheel of the truck.
Police investigations continue.
