A 19 year old girl has been admitted in the Suva Hospital after being allegedly raped by her boyfriend in Walu Bay on Saturday afternoon.
Assistant police spokesperson Atunaisa Sokomuri confirmed both were at a drinking party between 12 and 2pm on Saturday afternoon when the alleged incident took place.
The boyfriend is in police custody, however, he has yet to be questioned.
Police are also waiting for the girl to recover after which her statement will be taken.
The girl alleges the incident took place inside a boat.
