Simione Tui's Toe-To-Toe Boxing Promotion main bout against Australian Daniel Baff is supposed to be the third professional fight for him and most boxing fans have raised questions of whether he qualifies for a professional meet.
During a talkback on our sister station Viti FM, callers question how Tui qualifies for a professional bout having only three fights under his belt in the amateur ranks.
Speaking to Fijivillage sports, Boxing Commission Board Member Isimeli Cerelala said the decision to put Tui to fight is a result of a series of discussions.
Cerelala adds that the only way forward for Fiji's Amateur boxers was to blend them into professional fights to excel in the professional arena.
The Toe-To-Toe Boxing Promotion will be held at the Vodafone Arena on Saturday and will commence at 4:30pm.
