There won't be any boxing programmes organised in Fiji unless all promoters are registered and boxers have the license to fight.

Earlier this year, all the boxing programmes were stopped and then the Fiji Boxing Commission was set up to look after boxing programmes in Fiji.

Fiji Boxing Commission Director Mohammed Ali said only a few promoters have registered themselves while they are still waiting for the boxers to register and get their license to fight.

Ali said once everything is done then boxing programmes will start in the country.

He said by February everything should be in place and in March there could be a first boxing programmed organised, where local fans will get to watch top boxers in action.
