A new five member Boxing Commission has been set up in an attempt to salvage the sport in the country.
The Commission members, who are Sainivalati Kuruduadua, Tim Nobriga, Allen Harris, Isimeli Cerelala and Mohammed Ali, yesterday met with Interim Minister for Sports Filipe Bole and they will officially start their work next month.
Nobriga, Harris, Cerelala and Ali have been involved in the sport for the last five years and their experience will be vital to try and lift the standard of the sport again.
One of the interesting moves now from the Boxing Commission is that all boxers around the country will not be allowed to fight if they are under 18 years of age or over 40.
The Commission will officially sit for their first meeting on the 25th of next month.
