Fiji's poor performance in the amateur boxing arena continues after none of the five member Fiji Amateur Boxing team failed to qualify for the Olympics in Beijing.

Although Fiji was represented by overseas based boxers in the likes of Navi Cagiloaloa, Gyan Kumar, Amlesh Narayan, Meciu Michael and Michael Temo who took part in the Oceania Olympic Boxing Championship in Samoa, they lost all their fights.

Meanwhile, Australia will have nine of its boxers competing in the Olympics after they won nine gold medals.

Papua New Guinea and Samoa will have one boxer each in Beijing after they won one gold medal each.
