Forty boxers will be fighting it out today to grab a spot on the 11 member national team to the Mini South Pacific Games next year.

Fiji Boxing Secretary Paula Raqeukai said three boxers from Labasa, five from the West and the rest from the Central/Eastern Division will be taking part in the three day meet.

Raqeukai added that selectors have been working overtime for the past 8 months having monthly tests, including the Fiji Games in April to finalize the squad, which will also be used for the 2011 South Pacific Games.

The Golden Glove Boxing Competition is currently happening at the Raiwai Youth Hall.
