A 26 year old boxer of Nadi charged with the alleged murder of a Nadi man was today told by the court to seek the assistance of a lawyer.
Junior Farzan Ali who is also know as Tauz Liakat Ali has been charged with the alleged murder of 40 year old man and appeared before Magistrate Saiyad Muktar Shah this morning.
No plea was taken and he was instructed to seek legal assistance as the charges against him are very serious.
It is alleged that the victim and Junior Farzan Ali were involved in a fight in Nadi town on Thursday when Ali punched the victim.
The victim was taken to Nadi Hospital where he later passed away.
Post mortem report revealed that the victim died of serious head injuries. The matter has been adjourned till tomorrow.
