Lepani Botia is aiming for the World Cup Sevens despite him not being selected in the Digicel Fiji 7s 12 member squad for Scotland and England 7s.
Joji Ragamate, Setefano Cakau and Vilitati Sokiveta were called back for the national duties while Lepani Botia and Osea Kolisau were given more time to recover.
Former Sevens captain Botia said that he needs to improve on his fitness and is confident to get a spot in the Rugby World Cup in June.
Head Coach Alivereti Dere said that Botia needs more time to recover well before getting back into the international arena.
The Digicel Fiji 7s 12 member team are Setefano Cakau as captain, Nemani Nagusa, Jasa Veremalua, Ulaiyasi Lawavou, Leone Nakarawa, Benito Eremasi, Joji Ragamate, Samisoni Viriviri, Sakiusa Gavidi, Vilitati Sokiveta, Donasio Ratubuli and Emosi Mulevoro.
The Scotland 7s will be held on the 4th and 5th of next month where Fiji is pooled with Australia, Argentina and Spain.
