Road closures are expected in Suva as the Prime Minister of New Zealand John Key will arrive at Nausori Airport this afternoon for his first official visit to Fiji.
People are advised that both lanes of Princes Road will be closed from the Nausori Airport to Grand Pacific Hotel.
This will also include the closure of Borron Rd, Lekutu Street, Rewa Street, McGregor Road, Thurston and Victoria Parade from the junction at Suvavou House.
These roads will be closed from 3pm to 4.30pm today and will be opened after the New Zealand Prime Minister’s motorcade and delegation pass through.
The Southern Cross road junction beside Albert Park and Queen Elizabeth Drive will also be closed from the junction of Ratu Sukuna Road from 5pm to 6pm today.
Road closures are also expected along Gladstone Road from 8am tomorrow.
Stinson Parade Road leading into Kings Wharf will also be closed at 10am tomorrow.
The route through Edinburgh drive, Samabula, Rewa Street to Flagstaff, Laucala Bay Rd through Ratu Sukuna will also be closed at 10am tomorrow.
People coming into the capital city are advised that traffic will be redirected at certain areas.
All commuters and motorists are advised to use alternative road routes as movements or access into these roads will be strictly restricted at all times due to security reasons.
