The Great Council of Chiefs review team will not include the proposal handed in on behalf of the Tailevu chiefs by the Bose Vanua of Tailevu when the proposals are submitted to the Minister of Fijian Affairs later this week.
Review team Secretary Ratu Josateki Nawalowalo said that they are firm on what they have been told in the first meeting with the chiefs from the Tailevu province that they support the review.
Ratu Nawalowalo said the proposal of the Bose Vanua will be disregarded.
However, Tailevu Chief Ratu Inoke Seru said there was no proposal handed to the review team at the first meeting as they decided to await the meeting of the Bose Vanua.
Speaking to Village news this afternoon, he maintains that the 21 chiefs of Tailevu then rejected the proposal after taking legal advice.
The GCC review committee will hand in the various proposals from the 14 provinces to the Interim Fijian Affairs Minister later this week.
