The Viti Landowners and Resource Owners Association is now planning to have a Bose Ni Turaga sometime in April.
Association President and Cuvu chief, Ratu Osea Gavidi says the 222 chiefs will come together without any influence from the government to ensure that they decide on how their resources are being used and the appropriate returns for the usage.
Ratu Osea says they are not concerned about the new composition of the Great Council of Chiefs and the recent appointment of Commodore Bainimarama as the Chairman of the GCC, as the GCC is a state institution.
Ratu Osea Gavidi reveals the main issues to be discussed will be the usage of the qoliqoli and the proposed de-reservation of all native land stated in the Doctor M Krishnamurti report.
Ratu Osea is confident that the 222 chiefs who are part of the Bose Ni Turaga will meet by the end of April.
