Adding to that a total number of 520 business Licenses were renewed while 393 new business permits were issued.
In updating their revenue collections of the first quarter, Special Administrator Mosese Kama reported the council received $13,000 in Land Development at Valelevu.
Kama said the plan was to gain city status by 2012 which has been endorse by the ministry.
Meanwhile, the Lami Town Council in it's first quarter report the Lami Town Council has revealed that the half a million dollar face-lift on Johnny Singh Park is commencing.
According to the Council report which was handed over to the Local Government Ministry, the $0.5 million project will provide people of the town a place for relaxation and entertainment.
The project will see the upgrading of the retailing wall for the foreshore, including drainage works at Nasevou St, Delainavesi and Marine drive.
