Officers from the Ba Police station raided a bookshop in Suva yesterday and confiscated exercise and textbooks worth more than $100,000 which they suspect was stolen from a bookshop in Ba.

A senior officer at the Ba Police has confirmed that management of Premier Bookshop found the books missing from their bulk store after an internal audit.

Upon information, it was established by the management of Premier Bookshop that the books missing from their bulk store was allegedly being sold in Suva.

Senior Managers of Premier Bookshop accompanied officers from Ba Police to Suva and a raid was conducted.

Police removed more than 200 cartons of books.

Two employees of Premier bookshop are in custody at the Ba Police station undergoing interrogation.

CDP Lorries were used to transport the books to Ba.

More people are likely to be questioned soon.
